Hillwalking Information

There are many walks in the Ullapool area to suit everyone including mountains, rocky coasts and long inland footpaths. The choice of mountains to climb is numerous and the area has some of the finest summits in the North-Western Highlands.
In Ullapool itself, there is the Ullapool Hill Walk, which starts just beside our house.

ULLAPOOL

Ullapool hillwalk gives you great views of loch broom and the village. This hillwalk can be extended taking you to Rhidorroch estate road. This is a easy hillwalk and suitable for familys.

NORTH

A short drive from Ullapool on the A835 North at Ardmair, you will look onto Ben Mor Coigach, where the ridge stands almost 2500 feet high and runs for several miles. On a clear day from the ridge you can see the Summer Isles and the Outer Hebrides to the west.

On the road to Achiltibuie you will find Stac Pollaidh, a steep rocky challenge with spectacular views.

Further north just before Elphin is the Inverpolly Nature Reserve.

SOUTH

On the coastal road to Gairloch, just after the Braemore junction you will see An Teallach.  A famous Munro and stunning landmark.
